Red Ball (the City is not made for Horses)

"Red Ball", an oil on canvas, is part of the series "the City is not made for Horses".
In the man-made city, the horse, a symbol of grace and vital power,is out of his world. A fish out of water. He is driven to distraction. When he sees a red ball, left there perhaps by some street kid, he panics. He goes off in a mad gallop that will (probably) lead him to his destruction.

Is there any space for Grace and Vital Power in the cold and geometric city built by Man?

Thanks! I'm glad you like it - I like your work too...but are you really born in ...1920? You sure don't look it!

I've put my horse in my blog with another (I think more appropriate) title: Jumping in the void (meaning the void/ether of Internet!)

Do check it out on my blog:
http://claudenougat.blogspot.com
Or google it typing in: CLAUDE NOUGAT

There's everything in there from comments on art and politics to short stories and recipes...
