Sweet Home
The art gallery owner Giancarlo Crstiani entrusted me with the creation of a free work to reinterpret an entire house in an ancient village in Liguria. Journalist DAisy PARODI writes: The first thing you notice is the bright color. of a beautiful bright pink that tastes like strawberry ice cream. As soon as you take the entrance to Trovasta, a hamlet of Pieve di Teco, the "marzipan" house makes its appearance. It is one of the creations of Cikita Zeta, one of the artists who visited the village this summer thanks to the #trovastannozero project. INTERVIEW WITH CIKITA ZETA: «Having seen the house in the village as it was, I thought it would have adapted very well to a reworking and reinterpretation as if it were made of sugar, marshmallow, a house that has no corners, all soft as if it were melting - so explains the artist Cikita Zeta one of the artists who was part of the residency this summer- and so I decided to make it like the witch's house from Hansel and Gretel which was full of sweets. Of marzipan as the original story said, adding then other elements such as ice creams in a very pop and kawaii version a bit Japanese but without omitting creepy elements so I decided to leave typical elements of the house in the village which results with woodworms, old, interpreting as if this were the prison where the witch kept the children she captured.
