Famous group from the wall paintings from the Tomb of astronomer Nakht, Thebes XVIII Dynasty, 1401 BC -1391 BC, or 1397 BC – 1388 BC, in a “tropical” setting (my oil on wood copy shown here with plant specimens). The artist(s) of these amazing original paintings are unknown. The virtuosity of this work transcends its original context.
