Fragrantia
FRAGRANTIA deals with the theme of breath, focusing on its symbolic aspect, that of arousing and suggesting images and intuitions through the sense of smell, the taste of the breath, which connects man to the world of emotions and builds memories that accompany the choices. The visitor is invited to move within geographical sensory paths that reinterpret the Mediterranean landscapes. They are open rooms to follow in succession to "feel" the temporal development of the fragrance and its infinite recomposition. Plants, flowers, woods, resins contain intense scents and stimulate the sense of smell and memory.

The project proposal proposes to reconstruct geographic sensorial paths through containers of fragrances and smells drawn from the reinterpretation of Mediterranean landscapes composed through the combination of aromatic vegetable essences. Three cylinders arranged in series contain and contain the aromas, their composition takes place through plants, flowers, woods, resins capable of stimulating the sense of smell and having a more or less strong odor with an aromatic and balsamic imprint. Such mixtures of essences make up the rooms opened in succession where it is possible to feel the temporal development of the fragrance and their infinite recomposition also through the choice of the sequences of the path.

FRAGRANTIA is an installation that deals with the theme of breath, focusing on its symbolic aspect, that of arousing and suggesting images and intuitions through the olfactory sense. The man through the action of the breath completes a fundamental process for survival but it is with the senses that he discovers and collects information from the world, the sense of smell is the taste of the breath that connects man to the world of emotions, builds memories that accompany the choices. The project is articulated through the walkable space of the visitor that crosses the three differentiated cylinders: 1. Floral - which also stimulates the sense of sight, composed of: chamomile, caper, lavender, lemon grass, citronella; 2. Woody - which stimulates the sense of taste, composed of: licorice, ginger, myrtle, cedar, cinnamon, coriander, mastic; 3. Aromatic - which stimulates the sense of smell, composed of: wild fennel, anise, thyme, rosemary, mint, bay leaf. The system is supported by a metal structure with upright connected in its parts, it delimits a rectangular space of 15 square meters having a maximum height of 3m. The structural elements are re-used metal tubulars with various sections that are distributed over a total length of 26 m. The space created is totally free and inside there are suspended three light cylinders with thin skeleton defined by a sheet of non-woven fabric with pockets inside that hold the vegetable essences.
