The Fish Knows Everything

They say that the inspiration for this painting comes from Kusturica's Arizona Dream movie. But maybe it's not like that, because we find the passage about the fish that knows the mystery of life and death in the Russian writer's Andrew Platonov Cevengur novel written in 1930. Goran Bregovic, an authentic Balkan gypsy, steals Platonov's words, the Solenzara song by Enrico Macias and makes Kusturica the soundtrack of the Arizona Dream movie, where Johnny Depp's dream fish swim in the air; it is said that it's the lung fish that the Eskimos give to young people to be happy in life ...
