Letto di Seta

Bed of Silk was conceived as a larger version of my pastel painting of some thirty years ago, entitled Cabbage and Silk. http://www.carlastrozzieri.com/2013/03/cabbage-and-silk-pastel-on-paper-22-x.html The painting, executed in oil paints, is four times larger than the original pastel work, and the orientation has gone from vertical to horizontal. Not only was this work a revision of a work from long ago, it was also created to hang in the home of my dear childhood friend, allowing me to twice revisit the past.
