How to fall gracefully into the sea
The unbearable fate braved by people desperate to change their situation moves me to trace figures onto stone paper with inks. I expose these drawings to rain, to water, and watch the inks merge and the figures begin to submerge.I never let them drown completely. I stop the process, freeze a moment in time, hoping that their rescue is imminent.
