Triquetra

Part of my Fragment series, Triquetra shows fragmentation and erosion of the wear and tear of life, of what would be a normal image of a beautiful woman standing by flowers. The temporal nature of our existence, of our beauty is reflected by the decay. This is juxtaposed with spiritual symbols that have withstood the passage of time, and have been reinvented through time, such as the fleur-de-lis and triquetra, but which symbols also metaphorically represent the transcendence of the spirit.
