Okwui Enwezor Graciously Guide Us
This is a large commercial sign on a pine trestle. It is about 3 metres high and 10 metres long. Part of the Great Trading Project is a conflation of advanced industrial economics with old fashioned trade and barter. Okwui Enwezor Graciously Guide Us is a combination of Mr Enwezor's name with a litany. Litanies are particular prayer forms in Abrahamic traditions directed to saints and people from our past. Note: in the background are 3 soundboards that are activated by a motion sensor. The soundboards play the Chant of the Art Review Power 100. (please see video of the Power 100 below)
The Great Goat Milking at Beatrix Ruf Protect Us (also Known as Hans Ulrich Obrist Hear Us and Okwui Enwezor Guide Us)
A goat comes to the gallery with a farmer. The goat and gallery visitors interact with the art installation. The goat is milked by the farmer. The installation includes chalkboards, a large sign, and a series of drawings and ephemera.
The Great Trading Project: Those Who Have Helped Me; Those Who Have Wronged Me; and Those in Whom I Still Hold Hope.
The Great Trading Project is a project about longing. The project includes lists on chalkboards that describe those who have helped me, those who have wronged me and those in whom I still hold hope. As a trope it continues the transactional nature of the project.
