for some years i have been examining time as a dimension of space, particularly exploring the relationship that is established between sites or objects and their perceived “value”. in this research i have employed, almost primarily, materials from abandoned sites and the sites themselves. the removed colour from l’ospedale al mare del lido di venezia is displayed in the showcase as a chronology of its manipulation which ultimately results in the repainting of a small area of the wall. the displacement of the pictoral carrier leaves intact only that which is not inherent to its material properties: the colour.
