IL SISTEMA SCOLASTICO HA FALLITO IN PIENO

The Italian Minister of Education has celebrated the increse in students' failure in 2009 as an utterly positive phenomenon. Italian schools have been for decades a demegogic job reservoir for graduate people with none or bare preparation for the role demanded. Today, more then ever, with the rapid changing world we live in, many teachers are not able to reach out to a different generation of digital learners and to prepare them for life. Who's paying the tol? Our students demotivated and alienated from any love of learning. I have mashed some intellectuals' opinions which have stressed the inadequacy of the Italian education system, some picture (flickr) and music (Jamendo) in creative commnos to state the unfairness of our system. I felt a compelling need to do so as a citizen worried for the future of our country, as a teacher professionally aware of the difference between a qualified and sloppy teaching, and, least but not last as a mother.
