Cherryblossom Clusterbombs

Cherryblossom Clusterbombs

Digital Graphics, Virtues, Vices, Sexuality, Sacred / Mythological, Computer graphics, 50x50x2cm
A digital collage, representing a single moment in time, seeking meaning in a fragmented world of great conflict. The source material is an image of Enceladus and the rings of Saturn, from NASA's Cassini Satellite, along with Cluster Bombs I photographed at a museum in Laos, the Cherry Blossom from my garden in London and a self portrait of my online avatar, Brother Kwan and his protector, Gina's Cat. The piece mixes personal symbolism (characters who recur in my work), and incidental events, to produce a collage of events and images around a single moment, when I encountered a scene of unimaginable horror in an Unexploded Ordnance Museum.
