Photography can be seen as a sort of voyeurism. Is it ok then to take pictures of people who struggle? Pictures of violence, pictures of war and suffering? I had my own conflict when I took this pictures of people effected by a conflict. After some days at the border of Greece and Macedonia the drug dealer I met in the refugee camp told me: "Every human takes risks to feel alive." So I was happy to have been there even if I couldn't help in a traditional form. I gave many people my hand and talked about anything we ended up talking about. I tried to take pictures in a timeless manner to not take advantage of an exhibition of refugees. Suffering is individual and by putting it aside we may find beauty in life.
