WALK ON THE MOON
Artist Note
My practice revolver around the concept of “under-erassure” developed by Jacques Derrida which speaks about the presence of absence in ones life. It is the metaphysics of absence.
In my work I use mundane elements which we like and keep around ourselves which make us who we are. The shadows and animals are an integral part of my compositions. I use them allegorically to speak for my subject. Generally the action is happening outside of my canvas and my subjects are the audience to them.
My works are narrative and allegorical; they all tell a story but one which my viewer creates. I am only the catalyst in this process. It is this that makes it the flexible and autonomous entity. Which is not over burdened by my interpretation rather thrives on the interpretation of life.
