Metamorfosi V - Il Computer
Since as of 2011 I am following the argument of Metamorphosis. That is the transformation that technology and excessive use of resources made available by modernity are making the human being and his way of life, both from the point of view of social behavior and in terms of possible future mutations of the body morphology . We are always more stopping to talk with others, we communicate via computer or sms, the number of Italian dictionary words used is now reduced to a few hundred words, where no abbreviations of the same, we move less than in the past, no more socializing. We often sit for hours at the computer, and do not walk more, obesity is becoming more widespread, solitude, and silence, confused with the noise of equipments and cell phones that play, call us; equipments with which it is believed now to speak and that will respond with mechanical voices. In this work Metamorphoses V, I speak of a possible future in which physical mutation, mouth numb only serves to feed super, eyes protruding in the fixity request from the screens of computers the body is obese, the limbs are emaciated due to lack of motion and solitude reigns supreme among the books abandoned equipment and cables that almost strangle the man. Grotesque vision, but futuristic.
Metamorfosi II - Il consumismo
The imperative now is the consumed. Just to persuade people to consume it is needed to give them with information manipulated via charismatic entities. Any "symbol" which today is more convincing than others, can facilitate this task, and here is the proliferation of false prophets and models. Last objective is the profit of a few backed by a political collusion. A targeted and mystifying information leads to a transformation of the people, who are not aware of having been mass-produced, and having been deceived, and this at the cost of the destruction of the most basic human principles of freedom . They also deprive themselves of all their basic needs just to access that good.
Metamorfosi II - Il cellulare o la tela del ragno 2011 40x60
I defined with "Metamorphosis" the concept that I am developing since 2010, as a transformation and mutation, meaning not only social but also physical. The terrible damage that modern technology is making, on all aspects of human life are already in front of us. I have tried make these dramas in a grotesque way. Here is depending on the case, the mutation can occur for assimilation by the object (the object that eats the man as can see in "Metamorphosis II – The spider canvas of the 2011), or the person becomes the object (as Metamorphosis I - the Modern Construction of 2012), or the human being which loses physical, mental and spiritual faculties because it no longer uses those organs /ability / functions now replaced by technical means (as in Metamorphosis V - The Computer)
Metamorfosi I -Edilizia Moderna
Consumerism, which initially gave more attention to the“appearing” than “being”.
The exaggerated usage of new technologies brings to a disturbing vision, man becomes the object which owns. Precisely a methamorphosis. In this painting man , is, so, involved and, conquered from houses "domoticizzate" that becomes in turn an house.
The metamorphosis and human mutation caused by the exasperation of the modern technology.
Vision of an apocalyptic future in "pictorial imagery"
