Workers Buy Out - The economic and productive crisis of recent years has hit hard even the most industrialized regions of the north, with unemployment rates not seen since the war. The industrial tissue, except limited and valuable reality, was heavily damaged. Yet, in the midst of a crisis unprecedented in duration and extent, the workers once again show themselves not unmindful of a history that has molded them in the idea that the worst can always come something good and new.
Cooperation, even in the more distant past, was the most appropriate tool to support a development model capable of combining economic growth and social equity, thanks to a positive leading role of local institutions, which then promoted a great democratic participation around the theme the construction of facilities and infrastructure. Then it came to building; Now it came to save what was dying, or invent a new job from the ashes of the old become obsolete.
We, therefore, we want to tell the stories of those workers, males and females, who have rolled up their sleeves, who have defended their company up to take charge permanently, pledging to continue the work that others abandoned.
We want to tell all this through the collection of memory and the photographic research, depicting the workers of these factories and telling their stories.
