This photo contains all the original colors and objects with minor adjustment of contrast. It was taken in a desert west of Tucson Arizona most likely in Kodachrome.
Burnt Abstract 1
This photo had a severe burn created the cracks and white hole as seen, I later changed the color to a red to give it a more desirable tone to accent the beauty.

The fire left this fall photo pretty much intact with the colors changed to browns.

The original colors were greys on the top and browns on the bottom. I replace the colors to show to make it more brilliant suggesting the start of repair

An attempt was made to cut holes into this slide and layered on black to experiment with shapes.
Alpine Village 2
The burning process in this photo has in an early stage. A ring of burning usually starts at the edges and eventually the 'bubbles' begin as the temperature increase. Adjusting the color to the max resulted in more nuisances which are eventually overtaken by the charring and browns
Color Dots Dispersal
The slides further away from those near the heat source sometimes show edging only leaving the picture almost complete. The right hand side showed the start of the burn the most. When the color was enhanced small 'dots' of color appeared. These were copied and added to other areas of the picture the picture to produce this composite.
MinimalisticBurn1
Under right light burns, snow scenes can produce almost minimalistic feautures as seen here. The entire picture was diluted in colors to produce this effect.
Back Streets composite
This abstract was formed by combining doors,windows and entrances that were present in a lightly burnt slides creating beauty from the damaged.

Sun Spot
To produce this effect, the slide's right hand side was held over the stove burner while the left side was relatively touched by the heat.
Burnt Slide Alpine Village Scene
The degree of lost color is determined by the amount of exposure to the burn method. This method was boiling the slide in water until the exposure tone desired was reached. This slide was a medium heat at few minutes which explains the result of the red color still somewhat vibrant.

The composition of the layering was one slide in a blue tinting while the other retained the original colors.
Dream Scene
The burn is more extensive in this photo to almost completely blur the contents. Yet the sharper areas lend the photo a more haunting, dreamlike effect.

The slide was positioned for the burner to touch the lower layers producing a clearer top melting into the bottom . The black spots are the beginning of bubbles
Metal Bubbles
The size of the heat bubbles were such that the look as if they are a part of the metal tools displayed in this slide. It provides a dramatic effect.

The browns were changed to blue to make this winter landscape closer to a minimal landscape.
River Cleansing
Three people, perhaps an Indian family , were caught on this photo at the site of a ghat for daily cleansing. The burning distorted the upper portions where the damage was more noticeable and in some place contortion was present. It was further back in the storage file from the very front ones in this row that suffered greater damage.
Skewed Halo
This slide was boiled in water. The length of the boil was longer than most and produced the usual circle but one that is twisted with thin black bands encasing circles congealed while the area around the bands and circles show unusual clarity .
Skiing in Colorado
This is a layering of 2 burnt slides. One is the background while the other,the white areas , have been adjusted to a white. The background was recolored.
The Climb
This is a boiled slide denoted by the absence of a cluster of circles and the present of almost equally distributed circles over the entire slide. The yellow and blue is change coloring.
Two Burnt Slides Overlay
The underlying burnt slide is a recolored blue mountain scene. The top overlay has been recolored. The center area is an indication of complete film destruction.
Burnt Slides
I used color to eliminate some or all browns into other colors. I layered other slides to create new compositions. I boiled old wanted slides to see a difference of not the brown colors but a smaller set of circles that created almost a pointillism creation but in browns. I also decided to use scissors to create holes of other shapes instead of circles.
This project may result in other variations and experiments
