Nadel + Faden

Nadel + Faden (Needle + Thread) is a sculpture/ installation composed by an object in bronze (the needle) and 20 meters of hand dyed hemp rope.
Minimalistic in its aspect it is a work about the opposites light and heavy, soft and hard, straight and twisted, entangled and released.
In it's deeper sense it talks about the reparation of damages and in this regard it is strong and fragile at the same time. The thread which seems too long compared to the needle (and therefore entangled) evokes a certain impossibility to conclude the endeavor succesfully.
