There will be ghosts

There Will Be Ghosts is a photographic research of places that exist in the present, and keep confortable traces of their past.
The project is an ongoing work in progress. The attached samples display images of myself portraied as a ‘ghost’ in places and houses that I hold dear since my childhood. I’m performing acts that I used to imagine I could do as an adult, in those ambients that have remained unchanged.
The images are produced using only available natural light, and without photomontage artifices or Photoshop. I choose rather long exposures and then moving the body swiftly away from the scene. This creates the effect of a transparent body, whilst the objects and the landscapes look solid. Places and objects are imagined as resisting the invasion of "ghosts from the future".
Our bodies run on landscapes, and evolve with a different time in relation to them. The places and objects are watching us.
Cognition is fake just in one plane of reality.
