Family portraits of women affected by the Wonderwoman syndrome
The biggest affliction of women in the 21st century is the Wonder Women Syndrome.
We want to be fulfilled with professional satisfaction, with family life, with the raising children delights - and the demanding organization of their lives (with the related crazy mom’s Whatsapp chats!) -, with a social life besides the family and, very often, with our presence on social networks. Expectations on motherhood and childhood now are much higher that in the previous centuries.
Given so many solicitations, information, choices, opportunities and social pressures, it is hard to turn down and select what to be concentrated on: we try to do everything, at the best we can. Do we realize we ask too much to ourselves? Sometimes, we don’t even want to take awareness of it, maybe because we are not able to change the system of expectations and drives we are into.
