O malleefowl II, yunggaay

O malleefowl yunggay is a portrait of my friend’s child Owen. He is unique and brave and beautiful. This painting is part of a series of paintings of my children and their friends playing with the masks and head pieces of threatened species. In this wild theme, I have mixed stories from my long background in conservation management with those of my family life. This work shows both my interest in narrative and my passion for portraiture.
