Patrick Borchers engaged in his multimedia-based artwork „out of turn“ („außer der reihe“) the question of anew distinctly and visibly, increased racism respectively right-wing extremism in Germany in context of the current immigration of refugees. For this purpose Borchers collected photos and found-footage-videomaterial from different motivated political movements, demonstrations and riots. Central point of his projekt is an large-sized drawingpaper. Through the graphic interpretations of numerous photo(details) he developed an nonlinear narration-structure and offers an individual sensing of the mapped contents. Flushed on the left and right side of the drawingpaper are frozen video-sequences from right-wing extremist- scenes in Hoyerswerda, 1991 and Heidenau, August 2015. The stills start to move suddenly and synchronous for a short time, video an drawing-consecutions are merging. The three parts are constituting a unity and offering in their collectivity an alternative view and understanding-level onto an current and social essential issue.
