A Doll in London

A Doll in London

Painting, Travels, Oil, 40x52cm
This artwork wants to be the representation of my vision of London, a fabulous, futuristic and historic metropolis. The doll of a disabled baby is the big size statue that dominates the base of "30 St Mary Axe", in the City of London. On the left side of the image there is an historic building. The doll embodies what is the fantastic soul of London; she is a beautiful and innocent little girl, fantastic but ill too. It is the surreal dimension of London, its funny magic, its madness. The doll looks as she has been lost between past and future, finding safety hugging the teddy bear living with her.
