Rema Varela leaves his usual ghosts in the drift, invisible to the waves of time under a blue and open sky of a charcoal sea in appearance, which hides the underground of the mind. The calm, the immobility, the stillness, the pregnant peace are elements that cover the maelstrom of life. The still objects are turned into symbols of a messed up mind, always looking for the calm in this timeless sailing, questioning the viewer about his own daily experiences as castaways on the raft of the Medusa longing for being rescued or undaunted accepting their inevitable perish.
