Presenza/Assenza (Dittico)

The work (a Diptych), here re- presented, belongs to a rash of researches titled “Cyicling and Recycling” where the arstist tries to revisit and translate natural materials out of their common contest (the utilitaristc e productive one’s ), mostly joined to practical contingency, in order to give to them a new aesthetical dignity (at least, as regards the representative side). Artist’s necessity to resume the object out of his old context is coinciding with a second chance to open it to a new meanings, a material redempition that we can also read as an ideal renewal too. The picture itself plays his rule thanks to the interactions arised out of the juxtapositions of recycled objects; now, out of conventional scheme, the object can play a new life gaining in meaning and importance, Presence/Absence became otherwise a mood of the same perceptual experience of realty, lived as an appendix of ego itself (the subject). In this efforts of going out of its limits in order to embraced the external realty, subject, paradoxally, come back towards himself again. An endless process who can find its balance only in aesthetic representation
