HvM PHYSIOCOLOR

HvM PHYSIOCOLOR

In "HvM_Physiocolor", it repeat in a contemporary way the relationship between man and nature, between what is world and what lives in it. I'm inspired by a writing of '500, "De Humana Physiognomonia books IIII" by Giambattista della Porta, scholar and man literary man Napoletano. I formulated, the thought expressed in the port, the similarity of facial features between man and animal, I moved everything on the chromatic similarities plan, skin, hair, eyes, everything in ONE COLOR. The images in the physiognomy of literature are on the "line" of anatomical illustration, and have played an important role in the history of comparative anatomy, then discipline applied in the arts. All this is expressed in the works in the classic pose of the portraits, but with an eye to the contemporary. The tonal modulation occurs in a prospective way: by animal features in the foreground, the tonal variations on human incarnation, until you get to the background, as invaded by the reflection of a heat / color generated by the simple meeting of the living creatures that are in it united in the same key. Color / universal generator and heat, such as harmonic point of origin, propulsive pulse, procreative succession that, in the plans of the image, becomes an epiphany of creation. ( the project in progress )

This is even more emphasized in the spelling of the captions: some letters and words "HvM Physiocolor" - where HVM stands for Humana - are replaced by the acronyms of the names and colors of people. (ex. HnM - Joel Physiocolor, where n = Black HnM)
