Yin-Yang

This work comes from an almost two years long research. It is born through the analysis of the subconscious associated to the symbol of the Yin Yang. The symbol origin comes from the ancient chinese philosophy, where the yin is the shadow and the yang is the light. The union of the two parts generates the harmony associated to the tao. The word tao means path. This brings to a self inner analysis, expressed by the skin as representation of the symbol, giving it an own life. To me, Yin-Yang is the life road walked by every living creature.
The harmony decomposes by following a street through a mirror that doesn't represent what it reflects but a reproduction in droste effect , like a pathway.
Everything changes, everything has a start, a harmony and an end except the atmosphere that surrounds the characters. There are also more symbols: Christ's body and blood represents life, the flowers are symbol of eternal rest in the Italian folklore but symbol of life the oriental one.Colors and fornitures symbolise the antiquity. The work leaves freedom of interpretation, where the various symbols can be all mixed togheter.
