“Since 2009, I felt an unknown strength rising in me. A wonderful wellbeing took
over me. I felt alive. I was glowing and one could see the change on my face
and my attitude. I remember that morning when I sat in front of my mirror staring
at myself with a big smile, that day I finally could say: I am ”. (1)
Diane Tripet Artemisia is a singer dwelling in the small village of Boveresse close
to Môtiers in Val de Travers, Switzerland. Involved in the cultural events of her city
till 2009, she now spends most of her time to create music as well as working
on defending the LGBT cause (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual).
Her rebirth and her under covering of life, Diane shares her history by song, she
composes and sings melodies inspired among others by Brel, Brassens or Vian.
The corpus of images is an extract of the journal I kept from our rendez-vous and
as well as an investigative work done step by step. The visual approach is
strongly inspired by the contemporary documentary demarche that is based on
the merge of different photographic genres such as archives footages, portraits,
landscapes, snapshot or details. Based on the archives assembled, I’ve been
able to share with her my own personal vision and contemporary view on her life.
