Ritratto di Maria Strozzieri

It has been a long time coming, but at long last I have painted this oil portrait of my dear sister sitting on the cliffs above the shore line with the sea, hills and sun behind her. She was my best friend and closest family member, and she left this world too soon. I have painted her against an italian landscape, near the sea, because she loved the water and the sun. Maria, as you look out over the vista, may you see a beautiful world filled with the peace you longed for.
