Il sole sconvolto - Distraught sun
This painting is the 7° of 10, in my Project candidate in Celeste Prize 2016.
The general look recalls the childhood, in the figuration of small hands
with which the Sun tries in vain to not see events, remaining distraught by them. The figurines diving down, deliberately made in the style of children's drawings, crowding around a beach ball, but is illogically on the seabed.
But here, approaching friendly, just a fish, explicit mention of "der Goldfisch" Klee, is like a herald, a symbol of European art that welcomes them and greets them, on a different level than the material one, in which they were refused. Klee was also refused, even "deleted" as it is known. Of course, the reference is to the tragic sinking of the refugee in 2015, including many children, in an attempt to reach Europe.
