This piece is closely connected to “Awakening” in its underpinning idea. As it happens, evasion originates in the sensual world only to escape from it. The subject gets carried away by the emotion felt while escaping from traps and restrains. Half of the face seems to be fading and loses its pictorial matter to become something else: sheer color, music, emotion.
