Fu colpa il tuo maggio

Fu colpa il tuo maggio

Graphite and chalk on paper
The exclusion of Mary from the temple when her menarche appears may seem anachronistic as example of taboo; but this episode, maybe normal in that time, has a completely different meaning today.
This seemingly trivial event makes the woman herself as taboo: the power of life germinates from the blood and immediately, when the life arises, the life becomes impure and then banned.
There is something so perverse and incoherent to request an act of faith and, actually, we did it, since our culture here is originated: from a little girl who, became life, becomes impure; from a woman who returns pure thanks to a conception that mortify her fertility.
