Family Affairs

My neighbour Maria has more than 60 (grand-) children. She told me that "if one of them comes visit me in 1 out of 20 weekends, it's much". Two months ago, she turned 90. She decided to go to Spain, instead of giving a party. "Why give a party, if I never see them?"
I don't know what happened in that family, but it must be something. It's still your (grand-) mother. A big taboo.
