1674/1674

DESCRIPTION: the work was born from my memories I have tried to assemble a puzzle as recreating the feeling that this theme TABU I raised: I connected with it issues such as discrimination and intolerance in all it’s shapes and colors.
Flash memories: the travertine in Rome a city not random, where you mix the past and the present and the future temple and of sacrifice. The letters engraved characters determined and square, white, grey, black
Time marking the stone; rusty nails that hold the plates on the walls thousands who recite our history. A history of changes the peoples, religions, victories, defeats.
1674 1674 puts before the eyes of the elements who want to arouse our collective memory to remember the past and stop our eyes on the present and on those situations still unresolved that we drag silently, precisely a taboo: stories hidden, unspoken violence, discriminating reality of sex and religion.
My journey starts away from an escape, another war: the fear of child, the genocide, the memory of blood on the asphalt.
On the slab of travertine are engraved the words: intolerance, discrimination, homophobia, etc… on those
same sheets the traces of a body that left the trail of blood after being dragged lifeless, sound thrashing on the floor, on this lie the footprints of those who have trampled on the rights of man.
A number, a symbol belonged to who knows who, we remember another violence whose pain this humanity not forgotten and the memory retains traces.
The barbed wire is the absolute limit of the mind and soul of every individual who violated, mutilated and trampled unable to resist, for the life force that is contained in them.
My moment of silence is dedicated to the memory of these acts of madness of a few who manage to have absurd proportions.
