Millenium Bowl
The Millennium Bowl. Exhibited 2000 Stair and Co Galleries.
Designed for 2000 (in 1996 part of Angeli Misteriosi design book).
A work in 2 parts.
Conceptual- designed as a reliquary for minute fragments of 10 politically dividing walls.
Formal letters were written to ask 20 opposing governments to participate and send a fragment (Ireland,Israel,Cyprus,Korea even Berlin etc) None did so the reliquary remains empty but the politics/conceptual component remains live.
The Bowl in lead crystal, platinum canes,and a 18ct solid gold star in the stem.The pierced, engraved and cast silver gilt cover mounted with coral,bone,lapis and meteorite to represent the Earth, Sea and Universe.
