Suspended between birth and death the shadow of our mortality is ever present. From an ongoing project exploring life and death. I chose to represent the void with a man made pool because nothingness or the absence of our own life is still a construct of the mind. The shadow borders on the religiously symbolic, the spirit, or just a journey into the unknown.
