An ambiguous war piece. Anti-war, Pro the humanity and Human Rights of the Soldier. Representing; the horrors of war, the duality of Death and Heroism and the reality of Truama both to the individual and to those who survive.
I have previously undertaken much research on PTSD.
Torso, modelled in terracotta and waste caste as a unique cast in ferro resin on a oxidised mild steel base. The modelling was made from PM/Medical photographs of victims of IED. Ex-military combat trousers (from Afghan theatre of war marked with several ex owners military ID Nos). were painted with a terra-cotta slurry,dressed the torso, prior to the plaster waste mould.
