In this artwork, paint acquires new dimensions and visual qualities to create a momentary world which has no boundaries. The paint is no longer mere material which sits on the canvas passively waiting to be seen. The paint becomes a ‘living’ object, a part of the experienced world which reaches out and grabs attention .Paint becomes alive through the deliberately-formed, organic shapes which radically characterise my 3D paintings. Sculpted flowers, intertwining leaves and stems are playful manipulations of paint, purposely positioned by me, to create the unusual, yet breath-taking beauty present in my accumulations of paint. My paintings are like a film you’re watching where forms and shapes are moving; literally dancing before your eyes and invoking long-forgotten memories of a childish world with no rules; transporting you back to that world of childhood games.
