bending the light the magician turned the tears of the farmers wife and her daughter into icebergs

another addition to a line of videos of which each new one begins where the last one ended. the line began with landscapes to which some architectural elements were added. this last version so far uses the first version as a background for visual constructions from images of 1960's european citybuildings. the architectural fashion of these days was about space to facilitate the car and the opposite of the narrow streets that were considered to be unpractical, like the houses which surrounded them. instead: broad straight lines that were supposed to lead directly to a bright future. much of that 'concrete optimism' has been removed in later days and was replaced with supposedly more intimate architecture, quite often a copy of that which was removed earlier. and sometimes, even in inner cities, nature took over the artefacts of yesterday's cityplanning. the the music for this video is a mix of several edited soundtracks made by australian artcollective masonik which cooperates with our artist group.

Very interesting! It reminds me of the atmospheres of The Factory Photographs by David Lynch
