This painting is part of a series of works which comprises an exploration of my personal history, and represents a synthesis of the cultures which have formed my identity. The painting combines imagery from significant times and places in my life within the American and Costa Rican cultures between which my childhood was split, melding together these two very distinct influences into one cohesive existence.
