In the image presented, I attempted to depict the subject being lit by the cool light of his cell phone set against the warm background of the city sky. The image of a person absorbed in their portable technology, be it an ipad, their phone, or laptop, has become an everyday reality which has affected human connectivity in profound ways. While readily offering information and connecting people physically separated by long distances, these technologies ironically alienate one from their immediate surroundings, and interactions.
