Darning

My research around theories of the everyday is explored through a series of scenarios linking women, textiles, knowledge, skills and history and is considered in the film pieces.
I am curious about the current rejuvenation of sewing at the present time and what the relationship of domestic arts is to art practice The piece, Darning, continues my ongoing research through a series of scenarios linking women, textiles, knowledge, skills and history. This work aims to be an exploration of embedded knowledge and how it is being shared.
