this is not a still life | a moving study of morandi groupings
In this Morandi-gestalt approach to form perception, multiple groupings of near and far volume objects have shed their functional values becoming simple recurrent, abstracted compositions.
The interactions of these elemental groups remediate figure/ground relationships relative to the fundamental principles of closure, similarity and proximity.
A superimposed, pictorial aesthetic expands into an evolving visual-field of new forms. Becoming much more than the sum of its parts.
