Solve et Coagula is the alchemic formula to transform Lead into Gold. In the Spiritual Alchemy the equivalent of the First Matter to transmute is the Human Psyche. Like the Alchemist's Stone, the Mind also is made by two different antagonist natures, always conflicting each other: the cerebral emispheres, the rational thoughts and the intuitions.
