La Luce Della Vita

I painted this work thinking of light in two different aspects. First, I wanted to represent the light that is emitted from the sun, from which plants make food, and everything lives.
Secondly, I wanted to capture something of the etheric quality of light, by which all sentient beings share a unified consciousness. In this painting, I compare that consciousness to the sun, because in the same way that the light of the sun reveals the world to our sense of sight, so the light of consciousness reveals to us all that we perceive.
