Text/ile

Text/ile examines the human genome sequencing and specifically the first eight chromosomes. The codes were manipulated from several digital processes that culminated in a Jacquard ready file for the industrial loom. The fabric was woven at the Jacquard Center and partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council and the Present Group.
