Otium

A jigsaw puzzle of 10.000 pieces is placed on the ground and left unfinished by the artist for the users. They are allowed to complete the reconstruction as a collective mystical exercise to the limit of human possibilities. In fact, the artist has removed the picture guide to denounce the political drama of reconstruction after the earthquake of l'Aquila (affected by the earthquake in 06/04/09) and generally involve the masses to become aware of the complexities of life and of relating. A positive note, however, is summed up in the title: “Otium” where it is clear the intention of the artist to ennoble the value of time.
