Planisfero - La quadratura del Cerchio

The classic problem of Greek geometry, the inherent "squaring the circle" dates back to the origins of algebraic thinking, and has occupied mathematicians for centuries. It was only in 1882 that the impossibility was proven as a good approximation, by Ferdinand von Lindemann, in a very strict, although mathematicians of antiquity had already guessed his intractability.

The "squaring the circle" as a metaphor is an expression that has become synonymous with a useless, almost desperate and maybe lacks a concrete meaning, although in purely literary expression, is often used to indicate the solution perfect to a given problem even non-existent.

Therefore this expedient artistic, in its relevance, wants to circumnavigate the problems of the circle (the earth), and bring them back to a hypothetical square matrix (synonymous of the perspective) in order to represent a walkway prospective for our world and our evolution. So through the delimitation of the drawing perimeter of the various continents, properly duplicated and specular is realized this quadrature metaphorical.

Life is a process almost hypnotic, a fall to a point of oblivion, where you can have an idea and share it with the daily. The important thing is to shape a world of dilated existential possibilities, which, although suffering from a cramp likelihood can print above a cornerstone of civilization. Then, in this case, even if the attempt would only be an approximation, it would be still a desirable condition for to achieve the squaring of this our circle.
