Lola con bambino

An analysis of the woman as mother in the XXI century. This work is a part of a project which will express a new concept of maternity in the contemporary age.
I confront the differences between identity, artificiality and contradiction. “Lola with Child” is a re-interpretation of the classic iconography of “Madonna con Bambino”. Lola is a transgender, she sits on a terrace overlooking the city, where she works as a prostitute and the sky isn’t a serene paradise, but a leaden sunset.
