Moebius

The attempt of this work is to integrate a mounting logic by using identical frames, and that by forming a loop in the form of a Moebius ribbon. The same image, depending on its sequence, will be projected once left, once right resuming the basic syntax of shot-revers shot, dispatching the mounting to the projection device.
The projector, in addition to be the machinery of visible, becomes a self narrative production engine.

The torsion that occurs here (the peculiarity of this torsion is to be a stable fold not into the object but into space) is both a breakpoint, a rally point and an operating point in the same formal unit. This predisposition to unify the front and the back in the same corpus by keeping a clear distinction between two positions that matters to me. And as all this takes over the particularity of the “cinematographic loop”, the linear hierarchy of the questioning clip and the answering clip is abolished : the image questions itself and answers in and of itself, assuming a nearly quantum perception of the image.
